Brian “Coach Mac” McKechnie
Role: Assistant Head Coach | Special Teams Coordinator | Tight Ends Coach
Background & Experience:
Coach Mac is a graduate of Rogers High School (1999) and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Pacific Lutheran University (2004), where he was a 4-year letterman at wide receiver. He began his coaching career at Puyallup High School in 2013 as the Wide Receivers Coach (2013–2021), before serving as Offensive Coordinator/Special Teams Coordinator (2021–2024). He currently serves as Assistant Head Coach, Special Teams Coordinator, and Tight Ends Coach.
Coaching Philosophy:
Football is the platform, but the true focus is developing character, discipline, and accountability that extend beyond the game. Coach Mac is committed to preparing student-athletes to lead in their homes, succeed in their careers, serve their communities, and grow into strong men. Success is measured not just on the field, but in how players carry these lessons throughout their lives.
