Bio
Chris Parker-Wide Receivers
Coach Chris Parker is a 1995 graduate of Curtis Senior High School, where he played varsity football from 1992–1995 as both a running back and safety. He began his coaching career with the U.P. Junior Vikings, serving from 2014–2017 as Offensive Coordinator while working closely with quarterbacks and wide receivers. From 2020–2023, Coach Parker coached with the dominant Parkland Raiders 10U–12U program as Offensive Coordinator, while also developing receivers and defensive backs. During that time, he helped coach several standout local athletes, including future Puyallup Vikings Gecova Doyal, Michael Pulalasi, Mal Akuffo, and his own son, Luke Parker. Coach Parker joined the Puyallup High School coaching staff in 2023 as a C-Team coach working with wide receivers and defensive backs. In 2024, he served as the C-Team Defensive Coordinator and assistant varsity defensive backs coach. In 2025, he became the JV Head Coach, leading the team to an impressive 8–2 season. Coach Parker will primarily work with Receivers as an offensive assistant this season. Coach Parker is the proud father of three sons, including Dane Parker (Class of 2023) and Luke Parker (Class of 2027), both standout Puyallup Vikings football players. The 2026 season marks Coach Parker’s fourth year coaching at Puyallup High School.
Coaching Philosophy
My coaching philosophy is centered on building strong relationships with players and helping them grow both on and off the field. One of the most rewarding parts of coaching is watching young athletes develop over time—not just as football players, but as confident, disciplined, and accountable young men. I believe that when players know their coach genuinely cares about them, they become more motivated, more coachable, and more connected to the team. By creating a positive and demanding environment built on trust, effort, and accountability, my goal is to help players develop a true love for the game of football while learning lessons that will benefit them long after their playing days are over.
